What is the most impressive movie trilogy ever?

Which is your favorite and why? Does it have good memories? A good message? Or is Just Rock? Horror, adventure, fantasy, science fiction? (I'll bend the rules a little and allow the films that are more trilogies, but simply Sequals XD) My personal favorite is the trilogy The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the POTC. I am a sucker for fancy: P

I like all trilogies was said, but I would say that The Godfather, Star Wars (original trilogy, I count them as two separate trilogies), Pirates and The Lord of the Rings are by far best. I'm not a big fan of The Godfather 3, but which could compete with the level of awesomeness that the other two? LOTR is an adaptation of a brilliant history brilliant, and could not be done better, and Pirates is just a series of films that Johnny Depp surprisingly high in quality and eccentricities is also good they are. I would like Terminator 3 had not been terrible for me to say that these films, because Judgement Day is awesome.
